It was good to be back at Cannon Beach this week facilitating a Prayer Summit for a couple pastor’s groups in Portland. North Portland, Parkrose (NE Portland) and two guys from SE Portland were together for a great time in the Lord’s presence. We expected great fellowship, prayer, freshness, and interaction. And we received it. What we did not expect was to be able to connect with the folks from the longest running Pastors Prayer Summit – Kelso/Longview, WA. They were the second (ever) summit to take place. They had their first summit in the Spring of 1989. So this was their 24th year.
When we found our tables for lunch on Monday, we also saw that the Kelso/Longview Prayer Summit was taking place there as well.
So, in addition to each group having great individual times, we also got together on Tuesday evening for a great time of worship, prayer and communion. What a great surprise the Lord had for us. As we joined with them that evening, it was clear to us that God was blessing both groups. The worship “synced” from the very first notes, the prayers were rich, and the blessing of serving one another communion in groups of three was accompanied by great prayer and personal ministry.
God has good surprises.
